What Can I Expect
The Wiltshire White Horses helicopter tour! View these carved silhouette wonders of Wiltshire on a 30-minute helicopter flight setting off from Vowley Farm in the heart of the North Wiltshire countryside.
The magnificent white horses have been carved into the chalk chills in and around the Wessex Downs area of outstanding natural beauty. The history and stories behind the carvings go right back to the 17th century.
Getting to see any of these impressive chalk horses from the ground nearly always involves a walk, a hike, or even a lengthy climb, so you’ll need to be a keen outdoor type to conquer any of the eight Wiltshire horses.
Alternatively, you can book a seat on an executive helicopter for a very special departure from Vowley Farm to see some of the most famous horses. Seeing a carving from the air really brings the horse to life - and as you soar over rolling hills at around 1500ft, you will be afforded the best view in the house!
As well as spotting some of the chalk carved horses at the likes of Roundway, Pewsey, Marlborough, Alton Barnes and Broad Town, see if you can see the landmarks such as Bratton Camp, the ancient hill fort and the lovely (real) horses grazing around Hackpen.
Your flight path for these Wiltshire white horse helicopter tours also includes flying over the Avebury Henge and Stone Circles, for a spectacular finish for your unique aerial tour of the Wiltshire!
