What Can I Expect
Wetsuits on, it's time for some white water adventures in Scotland! White water rafting and river tubing are on the programme for anyone wanting to explore the Scottish Highlands in the most adrenaline-filled ways out there.
The River Garry is ideal for white water rafting. You'll be joining it in the Inverary area, between Loch Garry and Loch Oich, where there are several miles of exciting rapids to ride. The section you'll most likely be riding is dam-release controlled (thanks to hydroelectricity!), meaning there is a nice, consistent flow for your rafting.
The grade is a good solid 3 / 4 on the scale of 1 to 6, which means you can expect big, bouncy waves and a good smattering of natural features to tackle too. It's quite a short run, so you will most probably get two goes at it. And no doubt the second time you'll be paddling even more furiously than before!
The River Tummel running through Perthshire is perfect for river tubing. Calmer in terms of overall flow, the Tummel nonetheless has some thrilling rapid sections, all interspersed with quieter waters. And when you're tubing you need this, so you can recompose yourself after your spills in the water. Yep, river tubing is that kind of thing and you're sure to have a right laugh!
All the watersports gear is included for both of these adventure experiences in Scotland and all sessions are hosted and led by an expert guide.
