What Can I Expect

Raise your glass on a whisky tasting experience in Manchester! Sample six generous 25ml whisky servings on these hosted tastings filled with depth and flavour, featuring whiskies from around the world.

We have two themed classes for you to choose between. Hop onto the ’Whiskies of the World’ workshop to discover a hand-curated selection of whisky from the likes of Japan, Canada and Ireland, or go classic with the ‘Scotch Whisky Exploration’ to home-in on Scottish tipples.

These two-hour tutored tastings are hosted by whisky experts who really know their stuff and whether you’re already a bit of a whisky fan, or a newbie, you’ll be fascinated by the story of whisky, the history and how this favourite spirit is made.

The world whisky sessions are run as a blind tastings to see if you can identify the aromas and say which country the whisky comes from. Playing ‘guess the aroma’ isn’t as easy as it sounds, but you’ll have great fun trying!

The Scotch whisky explorer shines the light on the main whisky areas of Scotland, namely Speyside, the Highlands & Isles, the Lowlands, Campbeltown and Islay. Each one very much has its own character and flavours, as you’ll discover.

Whether it’s the fertile glens around Speyside, the robust and richness of Campbeltown whisky, the lesser-known smooth whiskies of the Lowlands, the hugely popular tipples from the Highland and Islands or the fiery, peaty whisky from the tiny island of Islay, there’s a Scotch whisky for every palate.
