What Can I Expect
Spectacular Tiger Moth flights from Dunkeswell Aerodrome! We are offering 20, 40 and 60-minute flights in genuine vintage Moths that combine sightseeing with local history and aviation heritage too.
Former Naval Base Dunkeswell, a few miles from Honiton, sits at 839 ft above sea level in the Blackdown Hills, making it the highest licence airfield in the UK and that means incredible panoramic views across the Devonshire coast and countryside as soon as you take off!
The flight paths for these experiences have been well-thought out to include the very best landmarks both manmade and natural - and all this whilst enjoying the incredible sensations of open-cockpit flying.
Our operator at Dunkeswell has a pair of wonderful, meticulously restored Tiger Moths. G-DHZF is a 1939 Morris Motor Corporation-built DH82A and now flies in resplendent post-war RAF livery.
G-FCTK is a rare, Canadian-built DH82C Moth that first flew in 1941. According to the Moth Club records, she is the only example currently flying in the UK, making for a unique experience.
From incredible aerial views of the famous Wellington Monument and the stunning cliffs and beaches of the Jurassic coast, to delightful seaside resorts like Lyme Regis and Weymouth, there’s so much to see during these Tiger Moth flights out of Dunkeswell.
