What Can I Expect

Go surfing in Bude! These great-value taster experiences are for all ages and abilities. As long as you’re at least eight years old and you can swim, you can surf.

We are offering vouchers for two-hour surf sessions in Bude. Experiences operate out of Summerleaze Beach within Bude itself, as well as Widemouth Bay, just south from the seaside town.

Both centres are run by expert surf instructors who are ready to show you how to surf with all the passion and enthusiasm you’d expect from someone who lives and teaches surfing in this most wonderful part of North Cornwall!

All the gear is provided for you. You’ll meet on the beach 15 minutes before your experience start time and get kitted out ready to go. You’ll then learn everything you need to get surfing; from how to handle the board and paddling out on the water, to going from lying down to standing on your board.

Summerleaze on the River Strat estuary offers a sheltered bay ideal for beginners and open sea surfing too and Widemouth Beach has surf for all levels. Both locations on the Atlantic coast offer brilliant beach and surfy vibes you’ll love.

Suitable For

• Minimum age 8
• No upper age limit
• Under 18's must be accompanied on site
• You must be able to swim a minimum of 50 metres to take part
• Suitable for all abilities and skill levels

Spectators

• Spectators are welcome to watch

Anything Else

• Surf board, wetsuit and high visibility rash vest included
• It is advised to bring your own towel and swimwear
• Personal belongings can be left in the secure mobile unit at your own risk
• Changing rooms are available on site
