What's Included
- Set sail with a 2-hour sailing experience along the stunning Brighton coastline
- Experience begins with a warm welcome, introduction, and safety briefing from the friendly, professional crew
- Once aboard, you can choose to take the helm and help crew the yacht, or simply sit back, relax, and enjoy the sea breeze
- A selection of drinks, including both alcoholic and soft options will be available throughout your sail
- Weather permitting you may be able to take a dip
- All lifejackets and sailing gear (including waterproofs and spray tops) are provided
- You will form part of a group of 8 - 10 participants for this experience depending on the craft used
What Can I Expect
Brighton sailing cruises - with bubbly included! What better way to see the Sussex coastline than from a sailing boat on the open sea, with drinks served onboard as the crew sails for you!
Setting sail from Brighton Marina, these two-hour trips are just so fun and relaxing at the same time. Depending on numbers, cruiser/racer sailing yachts or performance sailing boats will be used for these voyages.
The boats are all fully crewed, but you are more than welcome to join in and help with hoisting the sails or taking the helm. (We have to admit, it feels great to be at the wheel!).
Of course, if you simply want to sit back, take in the amazing views and feel the sea breeze with a flute of bubbles in hand, you can.
And what superb sights you’ll see! The coast around Brighton is definitely best explored from the water, with the likes of Beachy Head, the highest chalk cliffs in the UK, towering above you at 162 metres high. The famous Seven Sisters group of white cliffs makes for a pretty cool backdrop for some onboard sailing selfies too.
With several sailing times offered during the day, we think these two-hour sailing cruises are a great way to kick off a visit to Brighton, by seeing the vibrant seaside town and coast from the water - and you can toast to that with a drink whilst you sail!
When Is It Available
- Sails are usually available April to September on selected weekdays and weekends
- Sailing times are usually 11:00, 13:00 or 16:00 but time are all tide depending
- Strong winds or rough sea conditions may result in cancellation of the event, in this instance an alternative date or marine based activity will be offered instead

Suitable For
- Minimum age 12
- Under 18s must be accompanied by a participating adult
- Maximum weight is 16 stone
- You will need to be reasonably agile to get aboard and move around on the yacht
- Dress warmly and casually with extra layers and soft soled shoes (e.g. trainers)
- It is advised to bring sunscreen and drinking water for hot sunny days
- Sunglasses and a hat are recommended
Spectators
- Spectators are welcome to come down to the pontoon and watch the yachts depart
- You can take advantage of the yacht club where you can see the boats head out of the marina and the sailing can be viewed from the breakwater or the beach

- There are full marina facilities with changing rooms, hot showers, restaurants and free WI-FI
