Dry Land Coaching
This important part of the lesson shows you what to work towards in the water using demonstrations and discussion. What we cover will depend on your experience, ability, and what you’d like to learn.

Water Coaching
Once you’re in the water, your coach will be with you throughout, offering advice, helpful tips, encouragement, and answering any questions along the way

Final Tips
Towards the end of the session, we’ll leave the water for a debrief to discuss next steps and key things to practice. Then it’s time to change into dry clothes and head off for a coffee or a beer!

What Can I Expect

Private surfing lessons in Bude! Whether solo or as a duo, a private booking means you get a dedicated instructor who will be yours for the duration of your lesson. It’s the best way to learn or improve your surf skills.

Our surf school in Bude offers lessons at Summerleaze Beach and Widemouth Beach. Both are renowned surfing locations on North Cornwall’s Atlantic coast. There really is something for every level of surfer - from sheltered bays, to wide-open beaches with big waves.

The great thing about having a private lesson is that all teaching is entirely bespoke to you. So whether you are taking to the waves for the very first time, or have surfed before and want to learn more advanced skills, everything is possible!

What’s more, timings are a lot more flexible for private surf lessons. Book when it’s the best surf, the quietest time in the water, when the tides in, or simply to suit your schedule.

You don’t even need to have your own surf gear, as that’s all provided for you. Your instructor will give you all the teaching you need, with both dry-land and on-water coaching so you will be building your confidence both on and off the board.

Sessions are available throughout the year, so the surf is always up in Bude for these private surfing lessons!
