What Can I Expect
This is your invite to a murder mystery on Staffordshire's Churnet Valley Railway! It's all aboard the steam train to step back in time for an evening of murder mystery fun and intrigue, with dinner served onboard too.
This summer, you have a choice of two Murder by Midnight productions at Churnet Valley. ‘Mrs Fothergill's Literary Symposium' is set in the glory days of steam travel back in 1911. You'll be caught up in a race against time to find those priceless Joseph Owens Diamonds, which happen to have gone missing!
Meanwhile, ‘Lord Rags' Passing' is an intriguing tale of the somewhat suspicious death of the illustrious founder of Twinkle and Shine Cleaning Company, set sometime in the vibrant late 1960s. Will you be able to clean up the mystery of his passing?
You'll need every ounce of cunning you have to pick up subtle hints in the story, interview suspicious-looking characters to discover the truth and search the vintage restored steam train for vital clues.
All that thinking and sleuthing is hard work, so there's plenty of time for you to enjoy the three-course meal that will be served at your table in the first class dining coach of this beautiful steam train.
The whole evening is very much like stepping back in time, as you glide along the Churnet Valley line through the lovely Staffordshire countryside. But enough chitter chatter about the food and views, there's mystery to uncover and murder to solve!
Your murder mystery train departs at 18:00 sharp. Make sure you bring your enquiring mind and observational skills to see if you can uncover the perpetrator or the heinous crime.
Book your tickets for the murder mystery train at Staffordshire's Churnet Valley now, as they're sure to be sell-out events!
