Hawk Walk Experience
- Take a stroll outdoors with a Harris hawk
- The hawk will follow along, flying from tree to tree and then will fly back to your gloved hand
- You'll be shown how to recall the hawk to your glove (or a post if you are unsure) when it is free flying
- Learn about the equipment and handling techniques involved with falconry along with information about Harris hawks
Meet & Greet Experience
- Hold and interact with a barn owl and walk it on your gloved hand

What Can I Expect
Falconry in North Devon - exclusive one-hour experiences in the heart of the North Devonshire countryside near the market town of Hatherleigh, between Okehampton and Bideford.
We are offering adult vouchers and family packages for up to two adults and two children aged 10-16 to enjoy a private falconry experience together. Your voucher is valid for a Meet & Greet or a Hawk Walk and you choose which you’d prefer to do.
Your host will be David, who is a super passionate falconer. The patience and dedication it takes to rear, train and work with these magnificent birds of prey is clear to see. David develops that trust between bird and handler, to the point where they understand each other and clearly make a happy team.
On the Hawk Walk, you'll take a stroll around the local North Devon countryside with one of David's Harris Hawks, watching them do their thing in and out of the trees and hedgerows, before flying back to your gloved hand.
On the Meet & Greet, you'll be around the aviaries, in the area where the birds live. You'll get to fly a beautiful Barn Owl, as well as saying hello to the Harris Hawks and Buzzards.
During both experiences you'll hear their stories, learn about caring for them and how each raptor very much has their own character. You might meet Cherokee, the Harris Hawk who excels at pest control. Or perhaps Navajo, the loveable Barn Owl. Then there's Keve the majestic Buzzard and Apache the Harris Hawk who's the baby of the group.
