What Can I Expect
Meet the big lizards at this specialist reptile centre at Filton, just outside Bristol! We are offering vouchers for 1.5-hour sessions with the lizards, as well as full-day experiences, where you’ll spend five hours assisting the keepers who look after these amazing creatures.
If you like your lizards, you’ll love these experiences. There’s quite an eclectic mix of these scaly beings at this Bristol reptile centre. From Geckos to Chameleons, you’ll get to meet them all, including some rare and very imposing species too.
Getting to handle the bigger lizards, you’ll find they are pretty hefty too. You’ll learn lots about how to care for these amazing creatures, hear about what they like to eat and learn some fun facts along the way too.
For example, did you know there are over 1000 different species of Gecko and the Giant Gecko is rather partial to eating other lizards for tea? As for Chameleons, some boast super powerful tongues that are twice the length of their body (minus the tail!).
We have to admit, we love the ‘monitors’. This is a certain group of lizard species that have a specific characteristic - they stretch their necks up high to be able to look around and ‘monitor’ their surroundings. It’s mad to watch.
Whether you go for the taster or the full-day with the keeper, we think you will adore these lizard experiences. They’re big, imposing and make for awesome selfies! Isn’t it time you went nose to nostrils with a big lizard?
