What Can I Expect
Walk in the footsteps of DI Goodman on this Beyond Paradise locations tour! These fun and informative 1.5-hour tours take place in lovely Looe in Cornwall, the main filming location for this hit BBC crime drama show.
Beyond Paradise started as a spin-off from Death in Paradise, picking up from where the story left off once DI Humphrey Goodman left the paradise island of Saint Marie to join his girlfriend Martha in her hometown of Shipton Abbott.
Goodman, played by the brilliant Kris Marshall, quickly takes to life on the English coast, joining the local Police force, solving crimes in and around this delightful fishing village.
Despite Shipton Abbott supposedly being in Devon, Looe was chosen as the location because it’s a very picturesque part of Cornwall, with a vibrant population and working fishing port. The harbour area is a delight, as are all the little shops and restaurants on the meandering cobbled streets.
Your meeting point for these Beyond Paradise-themed walking tours is Looe train station. Your expert host will guide you around the seaside town, whilst giving you all the insider and behind the scenes info on the popular show.
And, of course, you’ll see lots of places you’ll recognise; from the Guildhall (the Police Station), the Sail Loft Restaurant, gorgeous Looe Beach and the famous seven-arched Looe Bridge built in 1854. A highlight for many is a visit to the RNLI station where some of the volunteer lifeguard team appeared in the show as themselves!
Beyond Paradise location tours end at the Guildhall, Looe.
