What Can I Expect
Get a taste of all terrain 4x4 driving on these small group taster and half-day experiences at locations around the country!
All sessions are geared (excuse the pun!) to your driving ability and are ideal for anyone wanting to gain experience and knowledge of the basic factors of driving 4x4 vehicles.
During your tuition you will learn all about the main principles of off-road driving. And when you’re not driving, you’ll be a passenger, taking in all the action first-hand.
Of course, the facilities and terrain at each individual venue vary, but you could be experiencing situations such as slopes, ditches, ruts, mounds and more. Some obstacles might be man-made, some may be naturally occurring.
Again, tuition depends on your experience, comfort zone and where you are 4x4ing, but you could be taught techniques that would enable you to tackle steep hill climbs, recover from failed hill climbs and make safe descents.
The locations around the UK reach far and wide, ranging from a disused sandstone quarry and acres of varied woodland terrain, to tracks through vast fields.
Experiences start with a safety briefing, and then it's your turn to take to the wheel. In general, you start off on a 'training ground', before the 'proper' stuff. Don't worry about getting the vehicle dirty - you won't be expected to pop by the car wash on the way back!
No matter which UK all terrain 4x4 centre you choose, you can give yourselves a pat on the back at the end of your experience, because you've just shown your off-road driving skills through terrain that previously you may have thought impassable!
