What Can I Expect
Scramble, scramble, scramble for your Spitfire mission! This Spitfire simulator near Manchester is all fired up and ready for action. Are you up for some daring World War Two aerial combat?
This simulator setup is very authentic. You'll be literally climbing up into a fully-enclosed cockpit. With your headset on and those 270-degree wraparound screens, you will feel totally immersed in the whole virtual experience.
What's more, it's you at the controls of the Spitfire for the entire duration of the simulator session. You'll be shown all the basics and after that you'll have 15-minutes of flying practice (actual WW2 Spitfire pilots in training didn't get that much more!). Then it's time…
You could be patrolling the skies above the White Cliffs of Dover, keeping watch over a blacked-out London, or be sent on a night-time bombing raid to Berlin. But no matter what the assignment, the aim is the same: to shoot down those enemy aircraft like the dastardly Me109.
Remember, you have that glorious Merlin engine to power you and those super-aerodynamic, elliptical wings to help move you deftly through the sky. And you're fully-loaded with ammo too. The time is now, Captain!
We are offering 60 and 90-minute Spitfire sim sessions at this centre in Stockport, so you've got plenty of time to complete your operations. If you have a voucher for two, you can fly in formation and take on the enemy together, or you can go head to head.
