Royal Mews

What Can I Expect
A day surrounded by beautiful Royal horses! These packages for two include tickets to the Royal Mews and the Household Cavalry, accompanied by a sparkling afternoon tea at the neighbouring Royal Horseguard Hotel.
On the southern edge of the Buckingham Palace estate, near Grosvenor Place, you'll find the Royal Mews. This is the ‘transport hub' of the palace, looking after the coaches and carriages, the horses who draw them and state motor cars too.
During your visit you'll see where the 30 or so Windsor Grey and Cleveland Bay horses are stabled and the riding school too. As well as being a working stables, it's also where stable hands, coachmen and chauffeurs all live too, so you get an amazing insight into life as a member of the Royal Mews staff.
The pristine carriages and coaches housed at the Mews are a real highlight. From Landau and Phaeton, to Barrouches and Broughams, this is the finest collection of carriages anywhere!
Your Royal Horses package also includes entry to the Household Cavalry Museum. Situated at the end of The Mall at Whitehall, this is the working home of the Household Cavalry regiments, with resident soldiers and horses.
There's a lot of history to discover in these 18th Century stables and you'll learn about everything from royal standards, to the daily 4pm guard inspection.
As well as your two visits, a table for two at the nearby Royal Horseguards Hotel is the icing on the cake for your Royal day out. You will sit down to a traditional afternoon tea with a glass of chilled Prosecco at this historic hotel with impeccable service.

- Last entry is 60 mins before closing
- The museum is closed for the Ceremonial season plus; London Marathon Day, Easter Friday and Christmas Eve to Boxing Day
