What Can I Expects
Go white water rafting in Northampton at this popular centre on the River Nene! You'll be rafting on the swirling man-made waters at what was the UK's first artificial, pumped whitewater course when it opened in 1999.
Three enormous pumps upstream on the River Nene control the flow of water down the 300m white water section. This means that if you're a beginner, you can learn the basics in fairly placid conditions at this renowned Northampton venue and then the difficulty can be increased, as your skill and experience improve.
Your two-hour experience will include a comprehensive safety and rafting technique briefing onshore, followed by a short session on flat water allowing you to practice paddling and manoeuvring your six seater raft. After that, you'll set off to complete up to five or six thrilling circuits of the raft run. As the rapids you'll be riding are entirely purpose-built, access is incredibly easy and spectators can watch the fun all the way around the dug out water channel.
Wetsuits, windproof jackets, floatation aids and safety helmets are provided for you by this friendly set up in Northampton, so all you need to bring for your rafting escapade on the whitewater is a swim costume and sense of adventure. Fully trained and experienced rafting guides will ensure you receive the necessary instruction to maximise your enjoyment of the day.
With excellent facilities, great accessibility, good quality equipment and top-notch tuition too, you're guaranteed to have fun, get wet and be exhausted at the end of your exhilarating session of white water rafting at Northampton's premium water sports centre.
