What Can I Expect
Cosy cocoon breaks - envelope yourself in a comforting way! We are offering one or two night stays for two people in these adorable little wooden cocoons. It's not all mod-cons, but it's certainly the snug and restful break you're yearning for!
Breaks in these cute cocoons are available in two Lee Valley locations. The site at Edmonton is the easiest to get to using public transport and is adjacent to some excellent facilities such as the golf course, the extensive indoor athletics centre and ice centre. The neighbouring Sewardstone site near Chingford is set in the lovely woodland and makes a great base for exploring and sports, with the nearby white water centre and Waltham Abbey.
Suitable for two, you can go romantic with a double bed, or buddy up with a sofa bed + folding camper bed for two friends to share. You'll need to bring your own bedding/linen with you (we've got to admit we always travel with our own pillow anyway!), but if you're coming in the car you'll be able to park one car right outside your cocoon to make things easy.
All cocoons have heating, lighting and sockets (for keeping those smartphones fully charged!). There's also a kettle so you can have that essential afternoon cuppa and morning caffeine fix.
And if you can't be bothered to do that campsite cooking thing, those well-known delivery apps will deliver on site. You can also take a little stroll to your local pub. It's the Plough at The Plough at the Chingford site and The Navigation at the Edmonton site. Both serve good drinks and food.
With acres and acres of parkland filled with paths, trails, lakes and excellent sporting facilities too, these one or two night cocoon breaks are ideal for a countryside break for two that's not too far from the city and not too much like actual camping!
