What Can I Expect

Lambing experiences in lovely Rutland! Down on the farm, there are over 450 sheep in the flock. These experiences will see you join the farmers as they tend to their ewes during the busy lambing season to assist with bottle feeding newborns and giving cuddles!

Greetham House Farm, between Cottesmore and Stretton, is in the beautiful county of Rutland, adjacent to Leicestershire. Agriculture is still very much a way of life around these parts and it's a real treat to be able to visit a proper working farm in the heart of England's smallest county.

As these experiences take place around lambing time, you'll be focusing on the little lambs in their pens who are not being fed by their mothers. As cute as buttons, these orphan lambs are hand-reared and they love nothing more than being bottle-fed and petted.

During your visit to the farm you'll have plenty of time to ask questions and find out all about life as a sheep farmer in Rutland. There will be lots to do and lots going on and it's really quite an adventure to experience what it's like on a farm during lambing.

The farmhouse is situated along a country track on the edge of the Greetham. It's a rural village with a vibrant small community and two very good village pubs. Book your lambing experience now and get ready for a delightful taste of country life in Rutland!

• Under 18's must be accompanied by a participating adult
• Family offer is valid for 2 adults and 2 children
• This experience is not suitable for pregnant women due to the risks of diseases

• Although this experience takes place indoors please note you will be on a family run farm so suitable footwear and clothing are recommended
