  • Experiences can include multiple take offs, landings, some emergency scenarios and sightseeing depending on your chosen flight duration

What Can I Expect

Sim time just for 8 to 16 year olds on these Junior 747 simulator experiences in Manchester! It’s destination City Airport at Barton for these very special sessions aimed at youngsters keen to have a go at flying in one of the most iconic commercial jet airliners ever.

We are offering vouchers for youngsters to be in this Manchester simulator for 20, 45 or 90-minutes and one accompanying adult is included with all vouchers, so you can watch their progress from the flight deck with them.

The instructors are all super patient with the kids, explaining everything clearly and are really very encouraging. Absolutely no experience is needed (not even time on a home flight sim game!) as the instructor will be alongside your budding pilot at all times.

The simulator has been built using an actual ex-British Airways 747-400 cockpit (G-BYGA), so the kids are sitting in a seat that has seen 1000s of air miles being flown by 100s of pilots. And with those incredible HD graphics, it’s about as real as it gets in there!

  • Due to space constraints most wheelchairs will not fit into the flight deck.  Users must be able to make their way unaided from the cabin into the front cockpit seat
