What Can I Expects
Helicopter dining in Kent - for lunch with a view! An amazing experience from Manston Airport, that'll see two or four of you taking a return trip in a helicopter to dine at the Ferry House Inn on the picturesque Swale Estuary.
Setting off from Manston Airport, you are superbly placed for views of Thanet. From the golden sands of Broadstairs and the white chalk rock formations of Botany Bay, to the sweeping seafront of Margate and the fishing boats at Whitstable, it's utterly fascinating to see this corner of Kent from above!
After around 15-minutes in the air, your helicopter will swoop down to land at the Ferry House Inn, where your table for lunch will be waiting. This pretty 16th century inn has been lovingly and sympathetically restored, with a warm and cosy feel.
The inn occupies a prime position overlooking the River Swale on the Isle of Sheppey. At the end of a windy road, the remoteness gives the Ferry House an overwhelming sense of calm. The paved path down to the water's edge is a delight as are the inn's terraces. We highly recommend dining outside if the weather is good.
Your helicopter dining package includes a three-course lunch at the Ferry House. The talented brigade of chefs take pride in their cooking, with many ingredients sourced locally at the family-run farm and from the kitchen garden at the inn. Expect a mouthwatering menu of seasonal dishes with a modern twist, with a more traditional offering on Sundays.
Having enjoyed your lunch, it's time to say your goodbyes and stroll back outside, to where your helicopter awaits. Your pilot will welcome you back onboard and you'll be flown back to Manston. Quite possibly the finest taxi ever!
Helicopter dining in Kent is available seven days a week and it's entirely up to you when you'd like to fly to the Ferry House for your lunch. And of course, the heli is exclusively chartered just for you.
