What Can I Expect

Welcome aboard SimAir's bonanza of weekday bargains at this flight simulator centre near Cheltenham! Based out of Gloucester Airport, these great value weekday simulator offers mean you can fly in a sim for less.

Vouchers are valid for weekday slots on this fixed-base Boeing 737-800NG simulator. You'll be booked in for a full 75-minute experience, which includes your pre-flight briefing and all that time in the (virtual) air in your big, commercial jetliner.

The experience is totally immersive. We are talking about 180-degree wraparound screens with high-definition graphics with a super realistic flight deck. And of course for this special weekday sim flight, it's you who will be in the Captain's seat!

The time in the simulator is all yours, so you choose what you'd like to. Maybe you'd like to fly a short-hop route in full, from push-back to arriving on stand at your destination? Perhaps you're all about practising approaches into tricky places like Innsbruck or Madeira? Or maybe you love doing ‘touch and go' circuits?

It's totally up to you - and you can even throw some weather situations into the mix. Fog into Paris Charles de Gaulle, snow in Geneva, or turbulence galore!

A member of the Cheltenham simulator team will be sitting alongside you in the flight deck. Most are current or retired airline pilots, so you will be learning from those who know just what a day in that office in the sky entails.

When Is It Available

• Sessions are available between 10:00 and 22:00
• Dates are subject to availability

Suitable For

• Suitable for complete novices, domestic passengers or fully trained pilots
• The minimum age limit is 12
• Under 18s must be accompanied on site by an adult
• Suitable for disabled participants with disabled access and facilities available

Spectators

• Additional spectators are welcome to wait in the reception area

Anything Else

• Gate to Gate: Upgrade when booking your date on the day for £30 adding an extra 15 minutes to your experience. This gives you the opportunity to start the aircraft, taxi to the runway then return to the gate and complete a full shutdown
• A DVD or USB drive of your flight is available as a momento of your day for £30 payable on the day
• Free parking and disabled access
• The licenced onsite Aviator restaurant offers superb views of the airfield, serving hot and cold food
