Thrilling drift rides at Bovingdon Circuit! Ride shotgun in a Nissan 350z or BMW 3 series to experience the exhilaration of two or four laps (the 'Sumo') on the dedicated drift track.

On these thrilling drift rides you'll discover why going sideways in a drift car is so much more fun than just going forwards! With you as a passenger and a pro at the wheel, you'll witness the slickness first-hand and experience just how crazy the world of drifting is.

Quite possibly one of the finest motoring imports from Japan, drifting is practically an art form and not just a type of competitive motor racing. It's almost like an automotive ballet, as the drifter deftly steers and then controls the throttle to hit the sweet spot and get the car linking side-sliding drifts around the entire track.

It looks impressive watching from the pit lane, so imagine what it's like actually sitting up front alongside the professional drifter on these rides. Plenty of gas as you turn in and head for the first apex. It's lock-to-lock stuff. You're going sideways at speeds of up to 70mph with the tyres a screechin' and a smokin'.

When it comes to drift cars, riding in a Nissan 350Z or BMW 3 series Drift Taxi is about as cool as it gets. Front-engined and rear wheel drive, both are modified and ready to drift, to give you that authentic drift car race ride feel.

Watch in awe as the driver expertly throws the car into the corners at downright ridiculous speeds, threading the steering wheel through their hands without even breaking out into a sweat. We can't say the same for you sitting there in the passenger seat though. But then again, what would a drift ride experience be like without a bit of teeth clenching?

Suitable For

• Minimum age: 5
• Maximum age: 85
• Under 18s must be accompanied on site by an adult
• Height restrictions: Minimum 4ft 8ins, maximum 6ft 2ins
• Weight restrictions: Maximum 18 stone
• Participants should be physically fit with no serious health conditions
• Participants must be able to wear a helmet, supplied on the day or welcome to bring your own
• No driving licence required
• We accommodate those with limited mobility wherever possible but some cars may be difficult for those with limited mobility to enter and exit

Spectators

• Friends and family are welcome to come along and can participate in passenger hot laps  or driving laps,  for an additional charge payable on the day

Anything Else

• Flat soled shoes must be worn
• Glasses must be worn if needed
• Refreshments and snacks are available to purchase onsite
• Rebooking within 14 days of your booking will incur a fee
