What Can I Expect
These classic car drives at venues around the UK take you back in time to 1960s motoring, way before fancy things like power steering, ABS and all wheel drive were commonplace. Our flexible vouchers are valid for all locations, so you choose where you'd like to go when you book in.
We particularly like the fact that these cars are British. At the risk of sounding somewhat old-fashioned, these motors represent the time when driving was carefree, fun and even a little bit hair-raising at times, especially as cars in the 60s started to get faster, but not necessarily safer (remember the days before seatbelts, anyone?).
This trio gives you a good cross-section of the British motor industry, with models to suit all budgets coming off the brand new production lines in purpose-built automotive factories.
The Vauxhall VX 4/90 (the ‘four-ninety') was initially produced as the Vauxhall Victor. Straight out of the Luton factory, these Vauxhalls were on every suburban street at the time. Now very few remain on the roads and this HB version is particularly rare. For their time, they were pretty technically advanced with things like overdrive and servo-assisted disc brakes.
The Morris Minor is a lovely example of a Tourer. This convertible Moggie in Old English White is a delight. And if the weather's good and you're driving with the top down, it'll put an even bigger smile on your face. It all feels so pared down and simple inside, with just a few knobs and gauges on the dashboard and a seemingly huge steering wheel!
The Austin is a 1963 Ulster replica of the 'Baby' 7 which was launched in 1922. This was Austin's first small car, dubbed ‘the big car in miniature' and 290,000 of them were produced right up until 1939.
One voucher allows you to drive your one choice at the UK venue of you then pick from our list. As these experiences don't cost a fortune, why not buy multiple vouchers so you can drive multiple cars? Buy three and you get to drive all of the classic cars in the line up, with a total of around 45-minutes behind the wheel. Excellent value for money!
