What Can I Expect
Chocolate making with Cake Boy! Great name, great chocolate treats. Spend the morning making tortes and chocolates in Battersea with renowned pâtissier Eric Lanlard - and enjoy one of his very special afternoon teas too.
Having trained in his native France and then worked in London under the celebrated Roux brothers, this talented chef specialises in contemporary cakes, patisseries, desserts and chocolates with a distinct French touch.
With rows of shiny stainless ovens, brightly coloured Kitchenaids and sleek worktops, this is the laboratory. And this is where the magic happens.
And indeed, it's going to be very much a cocoa-based experience with skilled chocolatier Eric. He uses only the highest-quality ingredients and is meticulous about presentation. By the end of the morning, you too will have created things of beauty made with chocolate.
Quite frankly, the chocolate and raspberry torte is to die for. Using only the finest French Valrhona chocolate, you will make this tantalising torte, which is Eric's signature creation. Whilst you're waiting for your torte to set in the chillers, you'll have time to conjure up a dozen delicious hazelnut truffles.
The chocolate decorations you'll then make are the finishing flourishes to your torte. All that remains for you to do then is pop everything into the elegant Cake Boy packaging, ready for you to take home.
But before you head off, there's the delight of your indulgent afternoon tea. Taken in the seating area of Cake Boy, we can confidently say this will be a very modern, very tasty take on a traditional afternoon tea. Refined and super stylish, it'll be served with a flute of French Champagne (what else?!).
