No, for once we’re not being rude about some Z-list celeb who’s gone over the top with the botox, we’re talking proper rainbow and brown trout and fly fishing!

We’ve been working hard on adding a whole load of new fly fishing lessons to the Into the Blue website and they are all now live and available to buy online.

We have to admit that we always thought fishing was for old men with rather large beer bellies who just fancied a quiet morning just sitting on the banks of a river with a rod half-hartedly dunked in the water, but in reality it’s actually quite a challenging sport and if you get a bite, the adrenaline really does kick in as you try and reel in your catch!

All the fly fishing experiences we offer include tuition, so are perfect for anyone who is a total beginner at fly fishing, or a novice who wants to take onboard the proper techniques. Within a few hours, it’s hoped that you’ll be well on your way to landing your very first fish.

And yes, it will most likely be a trout, but not necessarily an old one, as these stillwater lakes are regularly restocked with fish. Oh and in most cases you get to take your trout home with you to cook for tea!

Fly fishing lessons are available at several venues across the UK and prices start from just £60 per person.
