What boys buy girls on Valentine’s Day…

A nice spa day – this is what we’d really like for Valentine’s Day…

Following on from the other day when we wrote about whether it was just too modern to buy your BF or hubby a bunch of flowers or a spa break for a romantic Valentine’s Day gift, we thought we’d share with you how our very own BFs mind works when it comes to the 14th February. Bearing in mind he’s French and all that, we thought he’d be busy writing beautifully crafted love sonnets written in ink using a quill. But no, we spotted him browsing the DVD section in a large multimedia and electronics store the other day…

Now we’re guessing we’re going to be presented with something like the Shameless box set of DVDs, because the series has just started on French TV and he caught me laughing at the very dark sense of British humour the series does so well. So, are we being ungrateful in thinking if we’re right it’s not the most romantic gift in the world??

…and this is what we think we’re getting – a Shameless DVD boxset!

We have to say we’re suckers for something fun and unique that can be done as a couple. It’s not like we’re short on ideas. If it’s something adrenaline -filled there’s a double bungee jump, a land away flying lesson where we both get a chance to fly the plane without having to ‘hot seat’ it in mid-air, or even powerboat racing. Or there are more relaxing choices too, such as chocolate making workshops and yes, that his and her spa day.

Looks like we’ll just have to make sure we drop some serious hints next year. We’ll let you know if we’re right about the DVDs!
