Clear for take off – heli lessons in Kent now on sale!
Geographically speaking, Kent has always been a favourite departure point for helicopter lessons – perhaps because it’s close to London, or perhaps because you get see some of the famous ‘Garden of England’ countryside…either way, we’re rather pleased to welcome this new range of helicopter lessons from Kent International Airport.
The airport, formerly known as Manston airport, even more formerly known as RAF Manston, has a long and fascinating history – including being used by Barnes Wallis as a base to test his famous bouncing bombs. To read more about Manston airfield, take a look at the Wikipedia entry.
These days the airport is a busy little hub near Thanet in Kent, with lots of freight and even some scheduled flights using the airport, so there’ll be plenty going on. We’re offering 20, 30, 40 or 60 minute helicopter lessons in a two seater Robinson R22, or a 20 min session in a R44 chopper. The R44 has four seats, so you can even invite a friend or loved one to join you as a passenger!
All in all, we reckon these heli lessons in Kent make for a great gift to give, starting at just £109 for a 20 minute flight, setting off from an historic airport with easy access from London and the south east.
